Tate’s Bake Shop Giveaway

I say this around this time every year but where the heck has this year gone!  I can’t believe tomorrow is Christmas Eve that that next week 2010 will be over.  I’m taking a little break until Jan. 1st.  But before I go, I have a ‘lil something to give to one of you – a Tate’s Bake Shop gift pack.  I know you have seen them around in the last month and really, really want one.  If you haven’t seen them around, well, I’m telling you – you really, really want this!

All Tate’s baked goods are made from the finest natural ingredients, just the way Kathleen King made them when she was 11 years old and first started selling cookies at her family’s farm stand. She has expanded a lot since then, and now sells wonderful cakes, pies, crumbles, and many more cookies, but no matter what you’re eating, the love Kathleen has put into her business over the last 40 years shows.

Tate’s wants you to try their cookies and get to know their cookbook, which is full of classic, crowd-pleasing desserts, all made with good fresh ingredients.  They have given me an awesome gift pack to giveaway to give to one of you that includes their cookbook (with lots of super delish recipes) as well as their most popular cookies – oatmeal raisin, white chocolate macadamia nut and chocolate chip.

Even if you don’t win, you can still buy their cookies through December 31st and use the code cookie for 15% off orders placed via Tate’s online store.

To enter, leave a comment on this post letting me know what treats you enjoy eating most during the holiday season.  For an additional entry, become a fan of Tate’s Bakeshop on Facebook and leave another comment letting me know you did so.  You have until 10pm Eastern tonight, December 23rd, to enter.  (Contest only open to U.S. residents.)  I will announce the winner later this evening.  EXTENDED UNTIL 10PM EASTERN DECEMBER 31ST.  GOOD LUCK!

I will be adding Tate’s white chocolate macadamia nut cookies to my regular rotation now.  I fell in love with the sweet white chocolate, buttery nuts and crispness of what is now a new fav.  I hope they will become your new fav too.

    Eliane,

I think you know I’m a truffle maker around this time of year. My husband and friends have come to expect them and I enjoy making them. This year I only made 2 flavors,
raspberry and what were supposed to be champagne, although with 2 TBSP of Cognac and 2 TBSP of Rum, all I (or anyone else) could taste was the really good Caillebaut chocolate I buy in from the NY Cake & Baking Supply store…..love that place! Happiest of holidays to you and good baking cheer!

I love cookie platters with a huge variety so I can sample everything. My favorites are snickerdoodles, peanut butter cookies with a Hershey’s kiss on top, and ginger snaps.

I love English Toffee the best, but Nut Brittle and Fudge and Truffles and cookies in all shapes and sizes come in pretty close behind….
