Splenda Essentials Feature and Giveaway

It’s no secret that this chica has a major sweet tooth.  But a chica can’t live on cookies, cake and ice cream alone.   You probably can’t tell from most of my indulgent blog posts, but I have been trying to incorporate small, good-for-me choices every day to help me live a healthier lifestyle.  And products like Splenda Essentials make it really easy.

    Changing eating habits can be a big challenge. I did that a few years ago. By keeping a food journal for 1 year, I saw where I needed to make changes and truly learned about portion control. Most of all, it changed the behavior and I can easily monitor my food intake and balance with fitness.

    I bake sometimes with Splenda and add it to my coffee… Good luck!

    i think my favorite healthy living tip is to get a consistent quality night’s sleep. if i don’t have a good night’s sleep to start my day, nothing will go right. and lots and lots of water.

    I think drinking lots and lots of water is very important but also exercise!
    Then along with that watching your calorie intake :)

    Splenda is not healthy! You are just adding unknown chemicals into your body. Just use regular sugar chica! You’ll be better off. :(

    I drink water before and after every meal. It really helps on days (you know what im talking about TOM) when i cant stop eating…
    and I love your response to the comment. to each his own.

    A good tip? Cook more at home and I know we all do that more than others. But also, share that love with friends that have no clue how to cook. You’ll spread the love about cooking at home to more people!

    Hi eliana! I’m not sure that I’m the best person to ask abt healthy eating habits LOL but I do usually have a bunch of veggies on my dinner plate. I try to eat smaller meals during busier times of the day when I’m not really thinking abt hunger so that if I have a bigger meal for dinner, I’m not left feeling guilty ;)

    I smiled at the idea that you drink hot chocolate in the afternoon- very cool. I need to reconsider my Diet Coke for hot chocolate. No doubt that I would feel more satisfied.

    As a Registered Dietitian, I could go on for days about healthy living tips. I’ll spare the manifesto and simply say: “Eat what you love in moderation. Get plenty of water, rest and physical activity.”

    I have absolutely no self control when it comes to cookies, so right when I make batter for cookies, I roll them into balls and freeze them right away! Then I only make myself 2 cookies so I can control myself :) Sucker for cookies I tell ya!

    I remember when I first moved to Atlanta my cousins got me drinking sweet tea with Splenda. It was my 1st time ever having it and it made me sooooo sick. I eventually got used to it. My mom uses it and so every now & then I’ll break and use it.. I wish I could get my taste buds used to the flavor again!
